Together with Tickets.com, Gloucester Rugby look forward to a great season in 2006.”

-Ken Nottage, CEO

Gloucester Rugby is one of the oldest and most famous of England’s rugby clubs, formed in 1873. Early games featured exclusively local players, a tradition the club maintained well into the 20th century. The club soon established a strong reputation, with players being selected to represent England from the turn of the century. They won the first knockout Cup competition in 1972 against Moseley at Twickenham, and celebrate their centenary year with a club record 39 victories in the season.

Since Tickets.com installed its ProVenueMax system Gloucester Rugby have benefited from the system’s extensive functionality including a comprehensive CRM module, high performance online ticketing, extensive reporting and flexible, fast ticket office sales. In addition, being a client of a company that is owned by a worlds sports governing body gives the club great confidence that Tickets.com will always be moving forward with their technology .

Gloucester Rugby offer match ticket sales online, an easy process which has received a great deal of positive feedback from customers. Home and Away match day tickets are on sale from the internet which allows fans to access information and tickets at the touch of a button, 24 hours a day. This ease of access has already resulted in increased sales and subsequently increased revenue. Another key advantage of online sales is the ability to capture customer data so that Gloucester Rugby know exactly who is booking, when and how many tickets they need. All this information is seamlessly transferred straight into the customer database.

From an Accounting perspective, ProVenueMax functionality is second to none. All income can easily be traced and accounted for and there is a full audit trail. In addition, the system allows income to be split by competition so there is a separate channel for the Guinness Premiership League, the Domestic Cup and the Heineken Cup.

Gloucester Rugby are also using ProVenueMax for their ancillary activities including Junior Crew Memberships, Community Camps and the Academy, the only official camp provider to the Premiership Clubs, with the primary aim of developing rugby at the grass roots level in order to increase participation.

With Tickets.com Gloucester Rugby have been able to implement a best practise approach to ticketing and CRM, helping to build a stronger relationship with fans and providing new opportunities to identify areas for revenue generation.
