ProVenue® Requirements

Microsoft Windows Servers:

  • IBM Compatible Pentium 4, 2 GHZ or faster recommended
  • Windows 2003 Operating System
            (Must have 1 Client Access Licence (CAL) for each ticket workstation)
  • 2 GB RAM or higher recommended, 1.5 GB RAM minimum
  • SVGA Colour Monitor
  • CD-ROM Drive
  • 200 GB SCSI or SATA hard disk recommended, 100 GB minimum
    (For increased data security, a raid level 1 recommended. Call for more information).
  • Tape Back-up Unit equivalent or larger than hard disk.
    (Call for other options)
  • Ports
    • 1 parallel port (if attaching ticket printer to server)
    • 1 USB2 port (for the ProVenue license key)
    • 1 serial port (for ProtoBase Modem)
    • 1 additional serial or USB port for UPS
  • Internet connection for Direct Line Support
  • Symantec pcAnywhere 12.0 or higher for Direct Line Support
    (Version subject to change with new releases from Microsoft and Symantec).
  • Network Interface card
  • Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with PowerChute version 7 or higher
    (Version subject to change with new releases from Microsoft and Symantec).

Workstations:

  • Parallel port for thermal ticket printers

Needed for one workstation

  • Symantec pcAnywhere 12.0 or higher for Direct Line Support
    (Version subject to change with new releases from Microsoft and Symantec).
  • Network Interface Card

BOCA and Practical Automation Printers:
