STG Makes the Switch to Tickets.com

January 5, 2009 - Seattle Theatre Group, non-profit operators of Seattle's historic Paramount and Moore Theatres, announced today that Tickets.com will be its new ticketing partner. Patrons can now purchase tickets to the majority of STG engagements through Tickets.com, a major ticketing company known for its user-friendly technology.

The Tickets.com cohesive ticketing softwarewill improve service to STG patrons by providing a brand new variety of options to The Paramount and Moore patrons when they purchase and print tickets:

In addition to the advanced ticketing solution that maximizes transaction speed, efficiency and flexibility, STG will employ innovative Tickets.com technologies such as the newest in mobile ticket delivery functionality, Tickets@Phone. "We are honored to provide leading-edge ticketing solutions to STG so that their patrons have the best possible experience from point of purchase through curtain call," said Brian Roberts, Vice President of Sales, Tickets.com.

"With our new Tickets.com partnership, patrons will see on average a 20% savings per transaction," says Josh LaBelle, STG Executive Director. STG patrons will see a decrease in service charges due to a lower fee structure and because there are no fees to print tickets at home or receive tickets via cell phone. "Patrons expect the ticketing experience for The Paramount and The Moore Theatres to match that of our high quality concerts and performing arts engagements. With this change to an advanced, customer service-oriented system, STG now can provide leading technology in ticketing making it easier for patrons to access and have complete ownership of their tickets -- whether that be transferring a ticket or downloading it to your phone."

When the ticketing turnover begins in early January 2009, the majority of new shows booked will be sold via Tickets.com, including: Yes, Seinfeld, Anthony Bourdain and Terry Gross. Special event information as well as pre-sale and on-sale dates are announced through STG eNews, a free weekly online newsletter (sign up at www.STGpresents.org).

Because STG partners with other presenters who have existing ticketing contracts, some engagements will continue to be sold through those ticketing systems, such as Ticketmaster for Broadway engagements, and Ticketwest or specific venue box offices for various concerts. All tickets, regardless of ticketing vendor, are accessible and/or available for purchase via stgpresents.org which contains the websites for The Paramount and The Moore Theatres.
