Q: How does Remote Training work?
A: Remote training requires the use of pcAnywhere, VNC, or WebEx (for a nominal
fee) for a ProVenue® Trainer to connect to your workstation or client server. The
participants must be able to view the same machine to which the ProVenue® Trainer
connects, so both can view the same screen display. Additionally, a phone
will be needed for the audio portion of the training. The participants
should make arrangements for training to be held in a quiet area, with minimal
interruptions or distractions. Training occurs on your system,
using your data and is completely interactive. Training can
consist of one topic or a series of topics to address all of your departmental
needs. Each session can be delivered to one or more groups or several
sessions can be held for each different department to meet all of your organization’s
needs. Each session can be delivered as a standard offering or customized
by deleting or re-organizing session content.
Q: What’s the typical class size?
A: No matter what size group you need to train, we’ll develop a solution
that fits your needs perfectly. We typically provide remote training
for no more than 5 people at any one time, which allows for more effective
and focused training for the participants. But, we can usually
accommodate additional students for a small fee per person. The
fee will vary based on the class duration and complexity.
Q: How does Tickets.com prepare its ProVenue® Trainers?
A: Our ProVenue® Trainers have demonstrated a mastery of the subject
matter they are training. Additionally, they must go through
a rigorous process to hone their training skills. This process
includes supervised practice training sessions and onsite live observations.
Q: How much “face-time” will we get with a ProVenue® Trainer?
A: This varies by client, but most training sessions occur 9am-5pm each
day (client’s time zone), with an hour break for lunch.
Q: Does the trainer set up the software for the training session?
A: As a general rule, no. We ask each client to install ProVenue®
on the workstation where training will occur. PCAnywhere or VNC
must also be installed on the same workstation in order for the ProVenue®
Trainer to establish a connection to the workstation during the training
session. Only one person can interact with the data at a time, so the
best practice is to trade off during the session to allow others the
opportunity to interact with the data.
