Tickets.com renewed its partnership for 2019 with Speedway of Nations where the mobile-focused MyProVenue™ ticketing technology platform will support one of speedway’s biggest competitions in the United Kingdom, when the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations returns to the National Speedway Stadium in May. Fans attending the Manchester-based competition, where seven nations will take part in Race Off 2, will utilize Tickets.com’s next-generation web application to get secure, intuitive and reliable ticketing experiences.

MyProVenue™ is fully responsive across all devices and provides fans with ticketing experiences developed for mobile device purchases and accessibilities for the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations, including individual package additions and account preference management options through the application.

CEO of Belle Vue Speedway, Adrian Smith, said: “As a club, we’re delighted to welcome back such a distinguished event as the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations to Manchester for a second consecutive year; the 2018 edition was a big event for us and Tickets.com managed it seamlessly. Tickets.com Launches New Google Pay Mobile Ticketing Integration

Ticketing Technology Company Becomes First Provider to Make Google Pay Integration Accessible to Patrons in the Asia-Pacific Region

December 5, 2018 – As part of its vision to continuously develop and integrate ticketing technology that redefines the patron experience, Tickets.com today announced its launch of Passes in Google Pay™ — making it the first technology provider to extend the convenience of Google Pay tickets and mobile entry to Android users in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The new Google Pay feature for Tickets.com partners in the APAC region will debut in Australia ahead of Santa Claus Pub Crawl, a 25-year-old charity event taking place in Wollongong, south of Sydney on December 8. Tickets.com has been a long-standing partner for the event, dating back to 2010. Funds raised from ‘the longest continually run Santa Claus Pub Crawl in the world’ go directly to assisting disadvantaged children in the Illawarra via programs managed by the Salvation Army in Wollongong. Last year’s event raised more than $129,000.

“We’re honored that Tickets.com has chosen our event to launch Google Pay. As an event that strives to provide the best experience for all its attendees, having Google Pay to streamline the ticketing process, just adds to the uniqueness we are renown for,” said Neil Webster, Chairman of Santa Claus Pub Crawl for Charity. “Over the years, we’ve worked closely with the amazing team at Tickets.com to make Santa Claus Pub Crawl just a little better each year, and now we think we’ve reached the pinnacle.”

Tickets.com offers the benefits of Google Pay through integration with MyTickets™ – the patron-facing Tickets.com technology for managing inventory and account details. MyTickets account holders can manage their tickets, add them to Google Pay, and enter participating venues easier than ever before. Google Pay, a secure digital wallet and online payment platform, makes it simple to store and retrieve event tickets and boarding passes, send money, or cash in on rewards.

On working with Tickets.com, Google Pay Product Manager Prakash Hariramani commented: “We have created a rich ticketing experience that benefits both users and partners. Google Pay not only makes payments more convenient, but also enables users to easily add their tickets to Google Pay, manage them in one place, and enter participating venues easier than ever before. We’re excited to work with Tickets.com to enable their users for mobile ticketing.”

Hayley Dobbs, Service Delivery Manager at Tickets.com said: “We are continuously seeking new developments to offer our partner venues the latest advances in technology and consumer trends, bringing increased efficiencies to the ever-increasing expectation of patrons for smart and secure mobile experiences.”

T.Cares Provides a Global Foundation for Giving Back

Tickets.com UK staff supports local community project launch

Tickets.com employees continue to embrace the mission and vision behind the T.Cares community outreach program. In September, staff from the Tickets.com UK office volunteered at Unity Park and the Mac Garden at Milton Keynes Hospital.

As part of the global T.Cares initiative, Tickets.com employees seek to support the communities where they work and live – from charity fundraising and community service to creating unforgettable experiences for individuals and families around the world.

Milton Keynes’ Winter Night Shelter at Unity Park Station is one of the latest opportunities to support the T.Cares mission. Milton Keynes Bus Station, Unity Park is a welcome center for local homeless people that provides hot drinks and snacks, before transporting them to supervised overnight accommodations.

In September, Tickets.com personnel visited the center and helped prepare Unity Park Station ahead of the opening of its new facility – which will offer daytime welfare, shower and washing facilities. The team supported the initiative by painting, cleaning and other hands-on tasks to get the space ready.

Donna Elliott, Project Coordinator at Unity Park, said: “We would like to say a huge thanks to the staff who came and helped us with the mammoth task of completing the paint work and getting the place ready for the venue users. We were blown away with the team’s willingness to work and I’d like to thank Tickets.com again on behalf of the many building users who will be carrying out important work with the homeless, vulnerable and those with mental health challenges.”

The Tickets.com team also recently took time out to volunteer at Milton Keynes Hospital’s Mac Garden, a site run by the Milton Keynes Cancer Patient Partnership (MKCPP).

MKCPP is a charitable organization that works together with cancer patients, health professionals and other cancer-related groups and charities to provide patients and care-givers with the best possible experience throughout the cancer journey.

The Mac Garden is just one of a number of spaces maintained by the charity and the team from Tickets.com worked with MKCPP’s Jaff Newton to provide some much-needed assistance to the garden.

“I’d like to say a really big thank you to everyone at Tickets.com for all their hard work in the garden,” said Newton. “It will certainly last for months to come and will be ideal for the hosting events where staff, patients and visitors can enjoy being in the garden. I can’t wait to see it all in full bloom!”

As part of the global T.Cares initiative, Tickets.com employees seek to support the communities where they work and live – from charity fundraising and community service, to creating unforgettable experiences for those in need.

The UK team put forward causes close to them for future T.Cares projects and Milton Keynes’ Winter Night Shelter at Unity Park Station was chosen as one of the latest initiatives. Previously Milton Keynes Bus Station, Unity Park is a welcome centre for local homeless people that provides hot drinks and snacks, before transporting them to supervised overnight accommodation.

T.Cares Delivers Unforgettable Experience For Baseball Fan

Boston Red Sox fans have experienced an unforgettable season in which the iconic franchise set a new record for wins en route to the American League East title. For one special fan on one September day, the Red Sox and Fenway Park experience became memorable in ways he never dreamed. As part of the T.Cares community outreach program, Tickets.com worked closely with the Red Sox to customize a once-in-a-lifetime game day experience for an inspirational 18-year-old, Evan Wallace.

This young man, who also serves as Shriners 2018 patient ambassador at the Shriners Hospital – Boston, was born with a severe cleft lip and palate and has undergone several major surgeries throughout his lifetime, including a successful bone graft to reconstruct his mouth. While recovering and on a “blender food only” diet, Evan created a cookbook with nutritional and enjoyable recipes that has since helped many patients going through similar treatment, underscoring his on-going commitment to helping others.

On that September day, Evan and his family sat in Fenway Park’s second row to see his favorite team Red Sox take on the divisional rival Toronto Blue Jays®. Prior to the game, the entire family joined the Red Sox on the field for pre-game ceremonies, which were highlighted by Evan delivering the game ball and rosin bag to the pitcher’s mound in front of more than 30,000 fans.

Just like the game itself, Evan’s experience was only beginning. During the game, Evan and his family were welcomed with a special video message on the Fenway Park videoboard and JD Martinez, right fielder for the Red Sox, tossed Evan a game-used baseball during the fourth inning.

The game ended with another Red Sox victory, but this day’s experience, specially designed by the Red Sox and Tickets.com, had meaning beyond the final score. A program like T.Cares was established to provide a platform for this. On that one day in September, the partners honored Evan’s inspiring commitment to using the challenges he’s faced to build a community of positivity and support for those in similar circumstances.

Elizabeth Fisher, Manager of Marketing and Communications for the Boston Shriners Hospital explains what this experience means for young people like Evan: “We are so grateful to Tickets.com and the Red Sox for this opportunity. Initiatives like T.Cares help us provide our brave young patients with some brief respite from what they are facing day-to-day, and there is no better testament of our work than to see our patients out in the community, enjoying experiences that they will never forget. Evan is a wonderful ambassador of our hospital and we are thrilled he had this opportunity.”

For Bucky Heath, Head of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at Tickets.com, it’s occasions like this that demonstrate the importance of the initiative: “Our commitment to venue experiences goes so far beyond providing ticketing technology. We aspire to build a meaningful community experience with our partners. Creating an experience like this with the Red Sox and Shriners Boston to honor someone like Evan who has selflessly given back to others and his own community exemplifies the vision of T.Cares.”

National Speedway Stadium introduces MyProVenue to boost online ticket sales

The National Speedway Stadium, home to Speedway Great Britain Premiership club the Belle Vue Aces, is a 6000-capacity stadium with an 1800-seat grandstand that overlooks a 347-metre, FIM-homologated shale racing circuit.

Opened in March 2016 as part of the multi-million-pound Belle Vue Sports Village and wider regeneration project of the east Manchester area, the National Speedway Stadium hosts all home fixtures for the Belle Vue Aces and Colts.

It also plays host to various high-profile national and international events, such as the British Final and Speedway of Nations, to rival other major international speedway venues.

The National Speedway Stadium has worked in partnership with Tickets.com since opening in 2016, with the primary focus of increasing its online ticket sales.

To do this, the stadium implemented ProVenue® to manage all aspects of ticketing, putting the user in complete control with the ability to purchase tickets online 24/7 whilst providing extensive data capture to help the venue analyse trends to enhance customer engagement.

Moving forward, Belle Vue Speedway is looking to grow their fan base and expand their reach to a broader visitor demographic, as CEO Adrian Smith explains: “We want to engage more with families and younger visitors whilst retaining our core audience, and our ticketing experience is central to this.”

In 2018, Belle Vue Speedway introduced MyProVenue™, a next-generation web application built to streamline processes, from buying tickets to managing account preferences, within a responsive framework that works across both desktop and mobile devices.

Combined with the features available in ProVenue®, Belle Vue has enhanced its visitors’ online ticket purchasing experience, whilst driving data, permissions and behaviours through the application.

“To attract a younger audience to watch the Aces, we had to improve our customer experience to make ticket purchasing more accessible, and we saw sales via mobile as a vital means to do this,” explains Adrian.

“Traditionally our audience tends to be older and this is reflected in their ticket purchasing behaviour, with the majority of tickets sold through the box office. The introduction of MyProVenue increases the number of sales channels available and will help us towards our aim of a 50/50 split of online ticket sales versus walk-ups.”

In addition to the benefits experienced through the new technology, Adrian and his team have also praised the ongoing support from Tickets.com: “We have a really strong and collaborative working relationship with Tickets.com.

“They share with us best practice and advice based on their extensive industry experience, whilst working closely with us to come up with solutions to operational challenges.”

In 2017, Tickets.com helped Belle Vue to implement a two-stage ticket sales process to solve issues the club was experiencing as a result of a high number of at-event walk-ups: “We added a ‘best available’ seating option for those turning up on the day to eradicate the queues that were forming as a result of the time taken for visitors to select their seats.

“This has also helped encourage more people to use the online sales channels as tickets bought pre-event still benefit from the ‘select a seat’ function, which has subsequently improved the logistical operation at the stadium,” says Adrian.

Tickets.com have also provided the team at the National Speedway Stadium with key operational support for third party events, including the Speedway of Nations on 5 June 2018: “This was a big event for us and Tickets.com managed all ticketing and fulfilment seamlessly.

“Our technical account manager also spent time onsite with our team and ensured tickets were compatible with our access control system, and we were really pleased with how well it went.”

The Best Experience Is Helping Others

At Tickets.com, we are in the business of creating unforgettable experiences, and there is no better experience than helping others. We are dedicated to making our world a better place through acts of kindness in the communities where we work and live, and we do this through the T.Cares community outreach program.

Through the initiative, Tickets.com employees are encouraged to volunteer and give back to causes and organizations that they are passionate about in their local areas.

From raising money for The Alzheimer’s Society in the United Kingdom to participating in the Walk For Love with Shriner’s Hospital in Philadelphia, the Tickets.com family takes pride in working together to help those facing obstacles in their lives.

Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) is one of our trusted T.Cares partners, and by working with Vet Tix, Tickets.com donates tickets to various live event experiences all over the United States. The tickets are given to veterans in need, veterans who may need support to reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build life-long memories and be encouraged to stay engaged with local communities and American life.

This summer, United States veteran Holly (last name concealed) was just one of many that we were able to help through the Vet Tix partnership, when she was invited to attend Les Ballets Trockadero De Monte Carlo at Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts with her family.

Regarding the experience, Holly stated, “To the generous donations, thank you so much! I was able to attend with my family and we had a great time. It was my first time visiting Wolf Trap and I am pleasantly surprised. Our seats were FANTASTIC! I use these opportunities to help with my PTSD and anxiety so this was a great resource. Thank You again!”

We are dedicated to keeping the T.Cares program at the core of our organization, and expanding it to make a global impact. No matter how busy our lives get, why not make it a priority to reinvest in the welfare of our neighbors?
