ProVenue roll-out continues across UK customers

Following the successful global roll-out of ProVenue, the ticketing system continues to be implemented at venues and events throughout the UK.

Last month, Tickets.com announced the introduction of ProVenue to two longstanding clients based in Antwerp, Belgium; ticket outlet & cultural information centre Info Cultuur, and popular youth theatre HETPALEIS.

Building on the growing presence of the new system, which is already well-established in North America and Australia, the UK team has recently installed ProVenue in a number of new venues.

This includes The Venue MK; as part of the move across to the new ticketing system, The Venue MK is introducing an integrated chip & pin feature to ensure maximum security for all tickets purchased for the venue.

Nathan Letts, theatre manager at The Venue MK, said: “We have been a customer of Tickets.com for the last four years and made the decision to switch to ProVenue in order to maximise the system’s flexibility and advanced user experience features.

“Our venue is part of a school and consequently, we operate within a very secure IT infrastructure so it was important that the system could be implemented within this; the Tickets.com support team worked closely with our in-house IT department to ensure ProVenue was up and running against what was a tight deadline and we’re really pleased with the new system so far.”

The Lord Mayor’s Show has also implemented ProVenue to process all ticket sales. An annual event held in London and the world’s largest unrehearsed procession, The Lord Mayor’s Show comprises over 7000 military and civilian participants, 155 floats and one of London’s largest firework displays to mark the inauguration of the new Lord Mayor.

Tickets.com has managed the event’s ticketing for 11 consecutive years, with ProVenue facilitating all tickets sales for the sold out grandstands in 2015. The ticketing process was set up to enable the purchasing of tickets online, by phone and by post, with the online system also allowing visitors to select their preferred grandstand seat.

Rheged Discovery Centre is another longstanding Tickets.com client to make the move over to ProVenue. The Lake District attraction has also recently joined the Tickets.com Registered Developer Program, a new initiative developed by Tickets.com that works to bring together venues and third-party solution providers to ensure developers have the tools necessary to seamlessly integrate their technology with the ProVenue platform. Rheged Discovery Centre has used this as part of the development of a new website for the entire organisation; another Tickets.com client that has recently benefited from the Registered Developer Program is Semperoper in Germany, who partnered with New Image to deliver a new websale solution in time for the venue going live with ProVenue earlier this year.

With more UK venues signing up to ProVenue, we look forward to sharing their experiences and ways in which they are benefiting from the new system in coming newsletters.
