The Meaning Behind Tickets.com “Experience Is Everything”

It started in June 2015, when the new Tickets.com CEO Joe Choti said, it’s time to “disrupt the ticketing industry” to a crowd of 200+ participants from the ticketing industry at our annual ProVenue Exchange.

While this momentous occasion was purposed to connect, collaborate, and discover future technology trends, Choti desired an even more true exchange when he stated, “See these people. Get to know them. I want you to tell us the success you’ve had and the challenges you’ve had.”

Here Choti emphasized the importance of sharing experiences. This is where Team Tickets.com is goingputting our patrons’ desire to experience at the forefront of everything we do by ensuring the most advanced technological tools because it’s all about less waiting and more living.

This notion birthed the idea of “Experience is Everything” as it has the power to create great stories, amazing memories, and life-changing ideas.

Cheers to your next incredible experience!

Thought Leadership and The Importance of Sharing Ideas. Our Week At The INTIX Conference

The 37th Annual Conference & Exhibition in Anaheim, California, was my first INTIX experience and a huge success for Tickets.com. Our company’s booth was well-staffed by our industry experts, and it provided us with an excellent opportunity to further strengthen our brand with conference attendees. It was exhilarating to be surrounded by so many brilliant colleagues, customers, and competitors willing to share their experiences and market strategies.

For me, this conference was an invaluable opportunity to see how other leaders in ticketing are leveraging combinations of sales, attendance, concession, and merchandizing data to increase overall revenue and improve patrons’ experiences. The future of ticketing is increasingly personalized customer service that rewards loyalty and curates marketing efforts based on each patron’s purchasing patterns. Part of my job will be to continue modeling our data to make it accessible for CRM in our own ProVenueForce® product as well as our clients’ other CRM solutions.

On the last day of the conference, I had the privilege of moderating a panel of CRM experts in the ticketing space, with a focus on ticket-data extraction and transformation. The panel was lively and well-attended by CRM veterans as well as managers looking for guidance for first time CRM implementation. Daniel Kim of Medieval Times, Josh Zeigenbusch of the Oakland Athletics, and our own CTO, Derek Argobright, had lively discussion with robust participation from our sizeable and very engaged audience. Our presenters and attendees left the discussion contemplating many new, game-changing ideas.

Tickets.com extends partnership with British Weight Lifting for third year running

Tickets to the sport’s two premier domestic competitions during 2016 will be managed and sold via Tickets.com’s ProVenue® system.

Tickets.com has extended its partnership with British Weight Lifting, the national governing body for Olympic weightlifting and Paralympic powerlifting, for 2016; the agreement will see the industry leading provider of global ticketing and marketing solutions manage all ticketing for the sport’s two premier domestic competitions this year.

Tickets.com will support all ticketing requirements at this month’s Exertrain English Weightlifting Championships and the Cybex British Senior Weightlifting and Para-Powerlifting Championships in June. All tickets for both events will be sold and processed through ProVenue®, Tickets.com’s latest and most advanced software solution that provides users with unsurpassed flexibility, open architecture, robust data management tools and transaction speed.

Both events will play an integral role in the build up to this summer’s Olympic & Paralympic Games for British athletes, as the sport’s elite lifters look to finalise preparations for Rio; British Weight Lifting will also be aiming to build on the huge success of the 2015 British Championships, which hosted a record number of entrants and spectators over the two days and witnessed a sold-out opening day of competition.

Tickets are being sold in advance via Tickets.com’s consumer-based website www.tickets.com, whilst spectators will also be able to purchase tickets on the day.

Commenting on the agreement, British Weight Lifting CEO Ashley Metcalfe, said: “After last year’s record-breaking British Championships we are delighted to extend our partnership with Tickets.com into 2016 and utilise their expertise for our two biggest domestic competitions in what is set to be an exciting year for the sport.

“The positive feedback we continue to receive on all elements of our events is hugely gratifying and we know that by working with Tickets.com, we are guaranteed a user-friendly ticketing solution underpinned by a reliable and responsive service support team, and we look forward to continuing our partnership through this year and beyond.”

Tickets.com managing director Derek Palmer, said: “Working alongside weightlifting’s national governing body during an Olympic year is hugely exciting and it’s fantastic to partner with a sport that has witnessed such growth over recent years.

“ProVenue® provides a highly reliable and flexible ticketing solution and our consumer website offers a great platform to promote both events to a wider audience; we are certain of once again delivering a successful British Championships alongside the English Championships for the first time.”

The English Championships are taking place on Saturday 30 – Sunday 31 January – tickets are available now at www.tickets.com.
