El Paso Hosts MiLB Innovators Summit and Second Annual Ticketing Symposium Presented by Tickets.com

This October, representatives from approximately 90 Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) teams headed to El Paso, Texas – home of the El Paso Chihuahuas™ – for the MiLB Innovators Summit™ and Ticketing Symposium presented by Tickets.com.

For years, Tickets.com and MiLB have worked together to push customer experience boundaries and transform the future of sports and entertainment. The three-day summit provided an opportunity to showcase creative ideas and engage in wider discussions about ticket sales, marketing, operations and more.

Industry leading ticketing software ProVenue, developed and powered by Tickets.com, was the focus during day one of the Ticketing Symposium. It provided current and potential MiLB clients the opportunity to learn more about the innovative uses for ProVenue to help build brand loyalty and incentivize fan behavior.

During the symposium, Tickets.com partners shared ticket sales strategies and beneficial philosophies with technology experts, marketers and executives. FIS, international providers of financial services technology, unveiled possible new features through ProVenue which could allow teams to improve fan experiences exponentially before a given event. Fevo, a member of the Tickets.com Registered Developer Program, also explored the value of group sales campaigns as a means to enhance single game sales.

Another area of rapid growth is the number of MiLB teams employing T.Cares, an initiative that partners teams with nonprofit organizations to support local communities. Regarding the T.Cares initiative, Bucky Heath, head of marketing and strategic partnerships at Tickets.com said,

“It was an honor to share insight and information about our T.Cares and to have the opportunity at the MiLB Innovators Summit to express our commitment to the service and purpose.”

“We are in the business of creating experiences and through our work with the Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Special Olympics in particular, we’re in a position to deliver memorable experiences for some truly inspirational individuals,” said Heath.

Speaking at the event, Tim Snyder, vice president of business development at Tickets.com, said,

“At Tickets.com, we have made it our mission to bring technology to our partners that supports their mission to develop and grow the best fan relationships. This year’s Ticketing Symposium comprised an excellent lineup of technology experts and our current partners and clients, and it showcased our ever-expanding partnership with MiLB.”

Pro Football Hall of Fame, Tickets.com Unveil Major Ticketing Technology Partnership

The Pro Football Hall of Fame and Tickets.com announced a historic new multi-year partnership to deliver innovative ticketing and venue technology to a multitude of experiences when fans are visiting the expansive football and entertainment experience in Canton, Ohio. This partnership will include complete integration of Tickets.com’s ProVenue® platform into Museum membership and premier stadium ticketed events such as games and concerts.

Originally opened in 1963 with 19,000 square feet of football history, the Pro Football Hall of Fame now delivers more than 118,000 square feet of state-of-the-art experiences to members and fans. Additionally, the spectacular Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium (capacity: 23,000) hosts the annual Hall of Fame Game, Enshrinement and Concert for Legends among other elite events. Both venues will be core to the partnership in utilizing the flexible and mobile capabilities of ProVenue to build a full-service ticketing solution as a means for supporting the Hall of Fame’s ambitious growth plans to reshape the entire fan experience for the hundreds of thousands of visitors it attracts every year.

Tickets.com’s extensive experience of managing large-scale events and memberships for a diverse portfolio of venues, from sports to museums to mixed-use development, was key to why the Pro Football Hall of Fame chose the ProVenue platform. Working with advanced ticketing technology powered by Tickets.com, the Hall of Fame will be able to securely sell tickets online, create targeted marketing campaigns and deliver an enhanced customer experience.

Jim Macris, Manager of Ticket Operations at the Pro Football Hall of Fame commented, “We are excited to be working with Tickets.com. Their team has been extremely thorough in their approach; understanding our challenges and requirements and matching up to these with an advanced technological solution that we are confident will provide us with scalability in line with our growth strategy. The Hall of Fame’s on-going vision for the future will take patrons on a fantastic journey and continue to make it a must-visit for all. We are proud to play a role in supporting the Hall of Fame’s amazing growth plans.”

Membership & Loyalty Programs Launched in ProVenue

We’re excited to announce the introduction of Membership and Loyalty features to our ProVenue® platform, the innovative technology built by Tickets.com that enriches the patron experience while providing venues with new streams of revenue.

The highly anticipated features allow partner venues to reward loyal patrons and cultivate engagement to amplify the live event experience.

By incentivizing purchases, the Membership and Loyalty features create the foundation for repeat business, and provide venues with the ability to track and build on relationships over time. For example, a multi-level membership program encourages members to advance levels for acquiring additional venue-customized benefits.

To enroll members, partner venues can sell membership individually or grant it freely, either by itself or as a side-benefit for a package sale.

Using the ProVenue Loyalty feature or a third-party solution, venues can also encourage members to earn higher levels of membership by acquiring ‘loyalty points.’

A Loyalty program assigns point values for purchases and other activities, such as the use of a digital ticket instead of a paper ticket to enter the venue.

To motivate point accrual, venues offer rewards, such as exchanging points for a unique fan experience or merchandise, requiring a certain number of points for the opportunity to buy high-demand tickets, or requiring a certain number of points to advance to the next level of membership (from a “Silver” level to “Gold,” for example).

The power to manage Membership and Loyalty programs directly through ProVenue is a substantial contribution to the platform – and to the ongoing Tickets.com commitment to help venues create captivating patron experiences and lifelong memories.

Tickets.com Launches New Google Pay Mobile Ticketing Integration

Ticketing Technology Company Becomes First Provider to Make Google Pay Integration Accessible to Patrons in the Asia-Pacific Region

December 5, 2018 – As part of its vision to continuously develop and integrate ticketing technology that redefines the patron experience, Tickets.com today announced its launch of Passes in Google Pay™ — making it the first technology provider to extend the convenience of Google Pay tickets and mobile entry to Android users in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The new Google Pay feature for Tickets.com partners in the APAC region will debut in Australia ahead of Santa Claus Pub Crawl, a 25-year-old charity event taking place in Wollongong, south of Sydney on December 8. Tickets.com has been a long-standing partner for the event, dating back to 2010. Funds raised from ‘the longest continually run Santa Claus Pub Crawl in the world’ go directly to assisting disadvantaged children in the Illawarra via programs managed by the Salvation Army in Wollongong. Last year’s event raised more than $129,000.

“We’re honored that Tickets.com has chosen our event to launch Google Pay. As an event that strives to provide the best experience for all its attendees, having Google Pay to streamline the ticketing process, just adds to the uniqueness we are renown for,” said Neil Webster, Chairman of Santa Claus Pub Crawl for Charity. “Over the years, we’ve worked closely with the amazing team at Tickets.com to make Santa Claus Pub Crawl just a little better each year, and now we think we’ve reached the pinnacle.”

Tickets.com offers the benefits of Google Pay through integration with MyTickets™ – the patron-facing Tickets.com technology for managing inventory and account details. MyTickets account holders can manage their tickets, add them to Google Pay, and enter participating venues easier than ever before. Google Pay, a secure digital wallet and online payment platform, makes it simple to store and retrieve event tickets and boarding passes, send money, or cash in on rewards.

On working with Tickets.com, Google Pay Product Manager Prakash Hariramani commented: “We have created a rich ticketing experience that benefits both users and partners. Google Pay not only makes payments more convenient, but also enables users to easily add their tickets to Google Pay, manage them in one place, and enter participating venues easier than ever before. We’re excited to work with Tickets.com to enable their users for mobile ticketing.”
