The evening began with a sip at the cocktail reception and sparkling conversations. Dinner was served in the recently renovated open-air pavilions located throughout the Park, whose grand, heavy timber, al-fresco structures were trimmed from table-top to tree-lines with lanterns, and décor that echoed of the natural surroundings. The dining experience was both elegant and fantastical with a locally sourced, fall-inspired menu. After dinner, guests were escorted to the Filene Center for remarks from Wolf Trap Foundation leadership and a private performance by The Avett Brothers.
The Filene Center
The Filene Center at Wolf Trap is an amphitheater built to embrace the beauty of the surrounding National Park while providing an exceptional venue in which to host performances from May through September each year. Performances cover the full spectrum of music and performing arts genres and patrons choose from covered seats within the cathedral-like open air pavilion or spreading out on the lawn under the stars.
Tickets.com is proud to ticket these exceptional performances and be part of the unparalleled experience that Wolf Trap provides to patrons.
At the conclusion of the concert, there was a celebratory after party in the open-air pavilions that included an infinity dance floor, interactive Wolf Trap trivia, imaginative experiences such as glittered champagne cocktails, and creative desserts with an unending conveyor belt of confections and a deconstructed apple pie.
Although the Filene Center performances have concluded this season, tickets are available now for The Barns at Wolf Trap performances and patrons can still experience exploring the 117 acres of Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.
